Blizzard Complete Comeback in Minot

November 24th Brookings at Minot

Brookings 3-2 OT

The Blizzard entered Friday night one point out of first in the Central Division behind Aberdeen and Bismarck. Their first trip to Minot this year started out auspiciously when they were outshot 16-3 and trailed 1-0 after the first period. Brookings gave up an early second period goal to fall behind 2-0, but after the Blizzard started to come to life. Cameron Teamor scored midway through the second on nice feed from Josh Boyer to get the Blizzard on the board. Trailing 2-1 to start the 3rd Brookings picked up the intensity, but it took until the 15 minute mark to tie the game when Henry Enebak buried a rebound off of a Tyler Hinterser. Then with just under three minutes to go in OT, Josh Boyer blasted home the game winner on a one timer from the high slot off a nice feed from Vince Marino. Ben Beck improved to 4-3 with highlight filled 37 save performance. Brookings will close out the weekend series in Minot Saturday night at 7:35.
