Ground Round Player Spotlight #13 Tyler Frischmon

Tyler Frischmon, from Ham Lake, Minnesota, was born to Timm and Sandie Frischmon on October 19th, 1995.  He joined the family of an older brother, Zac, and an older sister, Casie. Tyler has been with the Blizzard all season as a Center after spending his high school days with the Blaine High School Hockey Team. He has been playing hockey since he was three years old.

Tyler, or “Frisch”, as he’s come to be known by around the rink, loves to be outside when he’s not playing hockey.  Fishing and wakeboarding are his favorite outdoor activities, but he also finds time to play guitar while he’s not on the ice.  Even though Frisch likes to spend so much time outside, he admitted before coming to the Blizzard, he had never actually been to South Dakota before!  Some of his favorite things include the movie “The Comebacks,” the memory of his first Varsity game in high school, math as a subject in school, and most of all, his favorite thing about Brookings- Beau Michaud.

Overall, Tyler has contributed quite nicely to the Brookings Blizzard organization.  After spending some time with a hand injury, Frisch is back in action and seeing ice time.  This Saturday, Tyler and the Blizzard take on the Austin Bruins for a chance at two points toward a playoff push.  Join us to cheer on the team at 7:15pm on Saturday!
