St. Cloud, MN-
The St. Cloud Blizzard are proud to announce that forward Ben Ward has made his commitment to play his college hockey at Bethel University.
Ward, an Annandale, MN native, came to St. Cloud after spending two seasons with the Minnesota Wilderness. The forward joined the Blizzard in a trade this past summer. Ward played 18 games for the Blizzard this season collecting six points. The past few years playing junior hockey has helped his game.
“My time in junior hockey was amazing! I met so many people and was able to elevate my game. I had great coaches like Moe and Tim Madson (MN Wilderness Head Coach) that helped me too. ” said Ward.
Blizzard Head Coach and GM spoke on Ward’s college commitment.
“Ben has lots of potential ahead of him. He’s got good puck skills, good offense ability to be an effective player for bethel in his college career”
Ward’s decision to commit to Bethel was not just for its hockey program.
“I chose Bethel not only for their very good coaching staff but, their very good education. I am excited for a new start in my career.” said Ward.
Ward will join the Royals for the 2020-21 season. Bethel plays in the MIAC conference and plays their home games out of the National Sports Center in Blaine, MN.
On behalf of the whole Blizzard organization, we wish Ben and his family the best in this next step in his hockey career.
